About this book

The Life of a Tibetan Monk

Geshe Rabten

The remarkable life story of an extraordinary Master of Tibetan Buddhism of our time. Not only does it give rare insights into the monastic life and studies of Tibetan monks. "Apart from the inspiration that the life of Geshe Rabten is bound to create, it will also show many Western readers that the study and practice of Dharma is a slow process, needing much patience and firm determination. It is probably the first book on the life of a Geshe published in the West and should therefore be interesting as well as informative." From the foreword of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Many photos from Geshe’s life and fine line illustrations make this book especially appealing to a broad readership.
